The Erasmus+ Youth Exchange project “Art Theatre Music for Mental Health – ATM for Mental Health”, coordinated by Sustainable Education and Health Academy Association (SEHA), was implemented with the support of the Turkish National Agency under the project number 2024-3-TR01-KA152-YOU-000285731.

The project aimed to raise young people’s awareness of mental health and support their self-expression through art, theatre and music. The activity was successfully carried out between 13–18 October 2025 at Mezopotamya Hotel in Batman, Türkiye.

The project was coordinated by SEHA with the participation of three international partner organisations: Junta da Freguesia de Ermesinde from Portugal, Asociación de Vecinos El Torcal from Spain, and Toekomstmakers from the Netherlands. Before the activity, online preparation meetings were held with all partners. Participant selection, task distribution, activity content and dissemination activities were planned together.

A total of 37 young people took part in the activity, including 27 international participants and 10 Turkish participants. The activity was also supported by 1 main facilitator, 2 youth workers and 2 logistics staff. Participants were selected through an open call, based on their motivation and interest in mental health, art, theatre and music. Priority was given to young people from different socio-economic backgrounds.

During the project, participants joined art, theatre and music-based workshops, peer learning activities, group discussions, daily reflection sessions and creative presentations on mental health awareness. These activities helped young people improve their self-expression, empathy, teamwork, intercultural communication and social connection skills.

The project activities were completed in line with the aims and activity plan stated in the project application. Visibility materials were prepared according to Erasmus+ visibility rules, and dissemination activities were carried out through social media and local communication channels. Project documents, participant lists, signature sheets, the activity programme, photos and visibility materials were checked and filed.

The ATM for Mental Health project showed that creative methods such as art, theatre and music can be powerful tools in youth work and mental health awareness. SEHA will continue to develop international projects that support the social, cultural and psychological well-being of young people in Batman.
