We are pleased to announce that Sustainable Education and Health Academy (SEHA) has been awarded funding under the Erasmus+ Programme for its new project:
e-SHIELD – Empowering Youth Workers to Shield Against Digital Violence
This project aims to address the growing challenges of digital violence among young people, including cyberbullying, online harassment, digital partner violence, and emerging risks related to artificial intelligence and virtual environments.
Project Overview
e-SHIELD brings together partner organisations from across Europe to strengthen the capacity of youth workers in responding to these challenges. Through non-formal education methods, innovative tools, and international cooperation, the project will support youth workers to better understand, prevent, and address digital violence in their daily practice.
The main training activity will be organised in Batman, Türkiye, where youth workers from different countries will come together to exchange experiences, develop practical tools, and design new approaches for safer digital environments.
Project Partnership
The project is implemented in cooperation with the following organisations:
•Association Les Militants des Savoirs (France)
•Asociación de Vecinos El Torcal (Spain)
•Toekomstmakers (Netherlands)
•Northern Impact Association (Lithuania)
Each partner contributes expertise in areas such as youth work, digital literacy, social inclusion, and violence prevention, ensuring a strong and diverse European collaboration.
Expected Impact
Through e-SHIELD, youth workers will gain practical competences and innovative methods to support young people facing digital risks. The project will also produce concrete outputs, including training materials, awareness tools, and recommendations for organisations, educators, and policymakers.
At local level, the project will strengthen youth work practices in Batman and across Türkiye. At European level, it will contribute to a shared understanding and response to digital violence.
